Not Many Things In Life Are Free...

Many companies are quieter now than they have ever been in recent memory, and with this in mind companies are struggling to keep their current workforce busy, focussed and motivated. 

It is not uncommon for quality and accuracy to actually deteriorate when companies are quiet.

A number of HEADS Recruitment clients are currently working with colleges in setting up NVQ training programmes (in these cases in Warehousing & Distribution and in Manufacturing Techniques).  They have also opened up the availability of this training to the HEADS workers they have on site as well.  This offer of training has been particularly well received by the workers with over 50% of potential candidates signing up.

This training is government funded (there is obviously qualifying criteria to meet), and can actually work out free!

The programme of training will help keep focus and motivation at a time when many companies are far from busy and will result in a more qualified, more motivated and ultimately more productive workforce.  Allowing the agency workers to take part will also help with retention and inclusion of this increasingly important part of the workforce…all just in time to take advantage of the upturn!
